Our short term holiday accommodation is located near St Heliers, one of Auckland’s most beautiful and desirable suburbs. It has a unique character, flowing from the local residents who treasure the village-like atmosphere, and where friendly, personalised service can be enjoyed while shopping or dining at any of the marvellous restaurants or boutique stores.

With plenty of free on street parking, and close proximity to the white sand beach, St Heliers offers a perfect day out. There is a well equipped playground situated at the end of Tamaki Drive, and the recently renovated boardwalk offers a safe, pleasant and comfortable seaside stroll.

Tahuna Torea is a unique city-based wildlife reserve sited on a long sandbank extending out into the Tamaki Estuary. Tahuna Torea means "gathering place of the oystercatcher" and is taken from the name of the sandspit. The mangrove lagoon, swampland and coast provide a sanctuary for a variety of birds. The godwits, which gather between seasonal migrations back to the Northern Hemisphere, are a unique feature.

The reserve has a network of tracks, several lookouts and numerous sets scattered throughout. The average time to walk around the entire area including the sandspit is 1 1/2 hours, although a walk around the bush tracks or lagoon only takes about 40 minutes.

The reserve is only 10 minutes walk from the full furnished short stay accommodation.

The apartment is adjacent to Churchill Park is one of the largest reserves in the eastern area. It offers easy and enjoyable walking all year round, only 2 mins walk from the fully furnished holiday accommodation.

It offers a mixed personality, from a manicured urban park to a wild country farm - 40 hectares complete with grazing cattle. The park hosts an astonishing variety of birds as you will see and hear as you move through. Most noticeable is the harsh shriek of the Pukeko - the swamp hen - which protests loudly when disturbed.

The holiday or sabbatical accommodation is close to Auckand's waterfront and  Kelly Tarlton’s Underwater World, Mission Bay retaurants and the St Heliers Bay shops. Walk to cafés, restaurants, beaches, Glendowie Boat Club, Tahuna Torea Nature Reserve and Churchill Park

Glendowie College, Selwyn College, and Sacred Heart College are all located nearby to the short stay furnished apartment.

The area is a quiet family area, and the short term holiday apartment is located between Churchill Park School, St Heliers Bay School, and Glendowie School.
